Buyer
RSW is a leading supplier of aftermarket and OEM replacement parts for construction equipment. Being a parts distribution company, the purchasing department is extremely crucial to our success.
As a buyer, you will be responsible for handling the procurement process, sourcing suppliers and managing vendor relationships to ensure a seamless supply chain and optimize costs. You will also collaborate with other departments, make strategic decisions and implement best practices within our procurement function.
Buyer Job Responsibilities
- In the field of industrial construction equipment parts; research our target market, industry trends, and competitors.
- Analyze sales data, market research, and product tests to identify gaps and predict trends.
- Decide what parts purchase, inventory levels, and reorder amounts and timeframes
- Source and negotiate with potential suppliers, assess their capabilities and evaluate their suitability.
- Manage inventory, procurement records, and purchase orders daily.
- Maintain supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations and issue resolution.
- Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts and consumption patterns to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.

Buyer Qualifications/Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
· Experience as a purchasing agent recommended
· Strong knowledge of the construction/aftermarket parts industry a plus.
· Knowledge of procurement principles, strategies and best practices.
· Experience in dealing with overseas vendors.
· Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization and negotiation techniques.
· Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems.
· An analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.
· Proficiency in using procurement software and systems. Knowledge with NetSuite and Microsoft products a plus.
· Willingness to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
This is an in-office, full-time position.
