Are you a dedicated professional looking to support a diverse student population? Renton Technical College is seeking a Workforce Service Delivery Coordinator. The Workforce Service Delivery Coordinator serves as a liaison representing assigned Renton Technical College (RTC) Workforce programs to DSHS, Employment Security Department, Department of Commerce contractors and other local Workforce partners. This employee will implement a quarterly educational engagement plan, providing onsite RTC CSO information keeping DSHS case managers informed about training opportunities for Workforce students at RTC and collaborating with case managers to assess educational readiness and needs of Workforce clients, develop client-training plans and facilitate referrals to RTC programs and pathways. This employee is a member of the RTC Workforce Team and will collaborate with team members to document outcomes and engagement strategies and reports for assigned populations on a monthly basis and will provide input into RTC Workforce Delivery policies and systems. This position is a grant-funded position through the Opportunity Grant. 

The Workforce Service Delivery Coordinator is a full-time Exempt position and reports directly to the Executive Director of Workforce Education & Grants. The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $89,386.07. The priority consideration date for this position is May 9th, 2025

  • Advance the department’s commitment to diversity and equity through continuous development, implementation, and assessment of culturally-responsive policies and procedures to achieve equitable outcomes for historically marginalized students
  • Represent RTC as an educational consultant to DSHS case managers at CSOs or other community partners within the service area.
  • Collaborate with Workforce team members, faculty, student services and administrators in delivery of comprehensive services to Workforce students.
  • Document student program eligibility and progress toward career goals.
  • Collaborate with Workforce team members to recruit Workforce students to specific RTC training opportunities each quarter.
  • Monitor and track budget expenses for assigned Workforce program(s) through contact with relevant staff, and in conjunction with the Grant and Contract Accountant. Reconcile funds on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 
  • Track and report progress of RTC LEP, High School Completion,  GED, and HS 21 students and assist them with long term career planning and transition to college level programs.
  • Collaborate with local Workforce partners on client engagement efforts, including Life Skills workshops and job clubs.
  • Coordinate RTC representation at all Workforce or Local Planning Area meetings and events in our service area.
  • Participate in RTC Workforce Team Meetings.
  • Coordinate timely development of targeted Workforce marketing materials with college graphic art services.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on program impact and assist with the development of the annual Workforce grant and allocation plans.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing, with college employees, departments and outside agencies.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence and participation in institutional programs with persons from diverse backgrounds such as sexual orientation, racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, socio economic, physical and learning abilities, and a commitment to diverse, inclusive, and equitable working and learning environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work or other related field and two (2) years related work experience. Knowledge of state Workforce  and OG program requirements preferred.
  • Previous case management experience in college Workforce, DSHS, or CBO settings preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and implement complex program and administrative policies.
  • Successful experience working with low income individuals in overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency.
  • Familiarity with career pathway planning, student assessment and the community and technical college system.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals whose first language is not English.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills – oral and written, including group presentations.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail required as well as previous experience maintaining accurate records, managing multiple tasks and planning and organizing work in order to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, think critically and exercise independent judgment required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, specifically experience in creating & editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Previous success learning new computer software programs/platforms required.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote universal design and accessibility. Proficiency in (or ability to learn within 6 month of hire) the production of accessibly content, whether print or electronic.
  • Ability to represent the college in a positive and professional manner, while using tact, discretion and courtesy. 
  • Ability to speak a regionally top spoken language other than English is preferred (Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Somali, and Chinese).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working hours are generally aligned to business hours, Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work is required. Work is mostly sedentary in nature, performed in an office environment. Frequent use of a computer and exposure to terminal screens is required. Work and meetings may take place across campus. May drive/travel to trainings, conferences, and/or college events. This is mostly an in-person/on-campus position; remote work may occur as business permits.
