Job Description
We are seeking a experienced Plant Manager with Lean manufacturing experience to oversee our plant operations and help us double in size over the next year. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, planning and problem solving skills and has experience in leading a company in growth. Looking for someone that can lead by example and is first one in, last one out.
Responsibilities:
- Lead production scheduling and building staff to reach department needs and adding shifts as needed to support sales.
- Project and Schedule Raw Materials needed for production
- Create & Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track plant performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to schedule and lead effective meetings
- Develop and implement strategies to improve plant productivity through LEAN processes
- Help implement transition to barcoding system
- Manage maintenance and facility improvements
- Manage plant budget and production costs to maximize profitability.
- Lead and mentor plant staff, providing guidance, training, and support to develop their skills and capabilities.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
- Experience in implementing Lean methodologies.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost savings, and operational excellence.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Fishbowl or other ERP systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
