About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Product Engineering to lead our product and growth engineering teams. As the team's leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction, strategy, and execution of our product roadmap. You will collaborate closely with partners in design, product management, data science, and sales to help Replit achieve its mission.

A key part of our engineering culture is to empower engineers to drive not only the technical aspects of the projects they're involved in, but also its overall scoping and definition. The Head of Product Engineering must be able to recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team capable of rising to this level of challenge. They must also have strong product sense, be able to make hard decisions, and be excellent communicators, in order to help their team to succeed.

In this Role, you will :

• Define and execute the technical vision and strategy for Replit's product and growth engineering teams, aligning it with the company's overall goals.
• Collaborate with design and product management teams to ensure a high-quality product that meets users needs.
• Partner with Sales to build for, close, and retain our most important accounts.
• Be accountable for the scalability, performance, and reliability of our product, maintaining a high standard of excellence.
• Be able to make good decisions, coach / mentor the team, and roll up your sleeves and pitch in as needed.
