TAX DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY - LIVINGSTON, NEW JERSEY
BASE: $200,000 - $300,000
My client is a public accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Director with 10 years experience. The successful
candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced and inclusive environment, be able to meet deadlines and successfully
manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards, within budget and
deadline expectations
• Review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, etc.
• Develop tax strategies to assist clients in being tax compliant
• Inform management and staff of developments in tax legislation
• Supervise members of the tax team to ensure that tax returns are completed correctly
• Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning and consulting
• Provide training, direction and supervision to staff, senior accountants, and managers
• Manage, develop and mentor staff on projects and assess performance through review process
• Research the implications of tax laws and advise clients on tax related issues
• Identify and respond to client issues in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner
• Participate and provide leadership for firm initiatives and projects
• Identify potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, finance, business or related field
• 10 years’ experience managing individual and corporate tax reporting and compliance processes
• Proven experience in a senior accounting or tax role in public accounting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
• Strong team approach and ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
simultaneously
• CPA license is required
• Masters in Taxation is preferred
Job Type:
