Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations/orders as needed.
- Assist in managing guest flow during peak hours to minimize wait times.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing their overall dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the host/host area and ensure that menus are up-to-date.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services, customer service, or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of hospitality best practices is a plus, especially within a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage reservations effectively.
