What are the responsibilities and job description for the LOAN OPS CLERK TEAM 1 position at Republic Bank Of Chicago?
GENERAL FUNCTION: Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the loan servicing functions required in order to maintain the banks loan portfolio and service all loan customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advance funds for closings and draws.
Process loan payments and reversals/corrections, including requests for online dollar payments and transfers.
Process loan payoffs and paid files according to the established checklist, including the preparation and evaluation of collateral releases.
Prepare payoff letters.
Process and prepare participant and/or investor remittances as needed.
Research and prepare duplicate release requests.
Track and process unit/lot paydown letters, paydowns, and releases in connection with construction loans.
Assist internal and external customers with inquiries.
Access, review, and process reports, checklists, and procedures assigned in connection with the above responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned
EXPECTATIONS:
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Provide support for other members of the department as needed including special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High School diploma or its equivalent.
2 years loan processing or loan servicing experience with a focus in commercial lending preferred.
Familiar with a variety of the lending and general banking concepts, practices, and procedures.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work and think independently.
Experience with FIS IBS Insight core system is preferred
