We are seeking a Chief Scholar and Family Experience Officer to lead the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of scholar and family engagement across our network of schools.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Chief Scholar and Family Experience Officer is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for ensuring that every scholar and family at RePublic experiences a welcoming, supportive, and engaging journey from enrollment to graduation and beyond. This role oversees family engagement, scholar belonging, and community partnerships, ensuring that our scholars and families are empowered to be active participants in their educational journey.
The ideal candidate is a systems-builder, a relationship-driven leader, and a data-informed strategist who understands that meaningful scholar and family engagement drives academic success and school culture.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Chief Scholar and Family Experience Officer, your work will focus on the following
Scholar & Family Engagement Strategy
- Set and execute the vision for scholar and family experience across RePublic schools, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
- Lead initiatives that foster scholar belonging, ensuring that all students feel valued, respected, and supported inside and outside the classroom.
- Develop frameworks for family engagement that go beyond traditional involvement to cultivate deep, meaningful partnerships.
- Champion a culture where scholar and family voices are central to decision-making and continuous improvement.
Building Systems for Scholar & Family Experience
- Design and implement network-wide structures that remove barriers to scholar success and family engagement.
- Develop and oversee scholar-facing programs that promote student leadership, advocacy, and self-efficacy.
- Create clear feedback mechanisms for scholars and families, using insights to inform school-level and network-wide decisions.
Data-Driven Continuous Improvement
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of scholar and family engagement initiatives.
- Analyze trends to identify gaps and develop targeted interventions to support historically underserved scholars and families.
- Partner with school and regional leaders to ensure scholar and family feedback directly influences school policies and initiatives.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and manage a high-performing team responsible for scholar engagement, family partnerships, and community collaboration.
- Train and develop school-based staff to ensure every scholar and family interaction is welcoming, inclusive, and affirming.
- Foster collaboration across departments—academics, operations, and talent—to create a seamless scholar and family experience.
Communication & Brand Alignment
- Ensure that all scholar- and family-facing communications are clear, culturally responsive, and aligned with RePublic’s values.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to amplify scholar and family success stories.
- Develop strategies to increase awareness of available supports, resources, and engagement opportunities.
Advancing Equity & Inclusion
- Lead efforts to ensure that scholar and family engagement is equitable and inclusive for all communities.
- Embed culturally responsive practices into engagement strategies to honor and uplift diverse scholar and family experiences.
- Address disparities in engagement, belonging, and outcomes through innovative, community-driven solutions.

- 8 years of leadership experience in education, family engagement, community development, or related fields.
- Proven success in designing and implementing large-scale initiatives to enhance scholar and family experience.
- Strong strategic planning, data analysis, and execution skills.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and people leadership abilities.
