What You’ll Do
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee the administration of payroll and employee benefits for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll, as well as the management and coordination of employee benefits programs. This role will collaborate closely with the Talent, Finance, and Operations teams to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws while promoting a positive employee experience.
Payroll Administration:
- Manage the full payroll process, including payroll processing, tax calculations, deductions, and ensuring timely distribution of paychecks.
- Review and verify time records, employee hours, and attendance data to ensure accurate payroll.
- Prepare and file all required federal, state, and local tax filings and reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries related to pay and deductions.
- Coordinate with Talent and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee records.
Benefits Administration:
- Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, disability benefits, and retirement plans.
- Provide guidance to employees on benefits offerings, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
- Maintain records of benefits enrollment and assist employees with changes or claims processing.
- Work closely with external vendors to ensure smooth coordination and timely resolution of any issues related to benefits.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all payroll and benefits processes adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required payroll reports, audits, and compliance documents as necessary.
- Stay up to date on changes in payroll and benefits legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist with year-end processes, including tax forms, benefits renewal, and audits.
Employee Communication & Support:
- Provide training and support to employees on payroll and benefits systems and processes.
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll schedules, benefit offerings, and key updates throughout the year.
Process Improvement & Systems Management:
- Identify efficiency and accuracy opportunities for improving payroll and benefits processes.
- Work with Talent, Finance, and Operations to ensure payroll and benefits systems are effective, current, and user-friendly.
- Lead and manage the implementation of new systems or software, as necessary.
Qualifications
What You Bring
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with payroll and benefits systems (Paycom preferred), with
strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across
all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve high-quality results.
- Demonstrated adaptability and experience leading improvements in payroll processes and systems.
