POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr Manager Operations Technology leads the standardization of fleet technology, evaluates emerging technologies, and implements viable solutions without disrupting operations. This role will create standardized processes with emphasis on continuous improvement and implementation of Operations Technology’s strategic roadmap and will build a foundation of excellence through metrics, business processes, best practices, reporting and insights. They will influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize deployment activities, including operational incentives, sales, and government affairs. Additionally, this role supports other technical initiatives undertaken by the team, ensuring that projects are delivered to achieve expected business benefits - on time and on budget.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as a strategic partner to leadership to support the development of innovative, market leading products and solutions.
Helps develop and drives the implementation of Technical Operation’s strategy and roadmap.
Manages and optimizes Republic Service’s fleet & asset telematics data requirements.
Helps to drive product development focused transformation projects, and leads cross-functional teams to integrate emerging technology with existing operations.
Conducts research and stay current on fleet optimization technologies.
Ability to manage multiple products, partnerships, and projects at various geographical locations.
Develops business processes to streamline product development.
Collaborates and reports out to cross functional leadership within finance, procurement, government affairs, sales, and field operations.
Develops executive-level presentations and performs ad hoc financial analysis.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years of managing cross-discipline teams.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
Experience in continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills
Experience managing and creating strategies based on business finance, metrics, and fleet operations.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently, consistently demonstrating initiative to get things done
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years experience with scalable enterprise-wide project management
Proficient in MS Office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
