What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Production Technician position at ReqCareer Solutions?
Hours:7:00am to 3:30pm
Manufacturing of prescription eyewear in the bench/finished department. Final inspection, neutralizing, spotting, edging, mounting and cosmetic inspection of Rx eyewear.
You will focus on one of the following areas. You may be cross-trained in the future so that you may work in any area:
In surfacing, you may work as:
�?? A Machine Operator, preparing and operating the automated machines in the surfacing process (tapers, generators, polishers, laser engravers, deblockers, detapers, spin coaters).
In the coating area, you may work as:
�?? A Lens Washer, conducting a brief cosmetic inspection, loading lenses into a basket for ultra-sonic cleaning, unloading lenses from baskets and placing into a tray. Hand washing lenses as needed.
�?? A Sandblaster, operating a sandblasting machine gun to clean the surface of the coating equipment.
In finishing, you may work as:
�?? Matchup, matching lenses coming off the surfacing production line with the respective frame to begin the finishing process.
�?? A Tinter, accurately tinting lenses.
Regardless of what your focus area is, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
�?? Adheres to and motivates others to follow work instructions.
�?? Completes equipment calibration and setup; promptly communicates any maintenance issues to Supervisor.
�?? Proactively identifies quality, process, and workflow problems; informs Supervisor of any outstanding or re-occurring issues.
�?? Actively communicates and shares information and expectations with Supervisor; participates in team meetings and focus groups and offers input on facility issues.
�?? Demonstrates a positive attitude; treats all associates with respect and dignity. Reports any issues/concerns to Supervisor.
�?? Actively supports management decisions and communicates concerns when appropriate.
�?? Maintains a clean, safe work area; notifies Supervisor of potential safety/health issues.
�?? Maintains adherence to company policies.
