Job Description for Sales Manager/Front Desk Manager for Days Inn Hotel
*Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for the hotel.
- Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
- Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly.
- Implements all sales action plans related to the market areas and increases sales.
- Conducts daily sales calls.
- Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the property, and develop professional long term business relationships.
- Develop strong relationships with the property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
- Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
- Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks and Manage online and phone reservations in the morning shift.
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data and Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms and Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner and Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate and Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- 3 to 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
- 3 year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
- Reliably commute to Sulphur, LA or planning to relocate before starting work.
