Job Overview:
The Safety & Wellness Program Manager (Survivor Services Manager) manages overall project implementation, quality, and delivery for the assigned case management program(s) withing the S&W department including the Survivor of Torture Program, Services for Afghans Impacted by Combat, and long term support services for Asylum Seekers. This position is responsible for supervising staff, supporting business development and developing community relationships with providers specializing in safety, wellness and health services.
Major Responsibilities:
Program Management
• Manages and supports project implementation, quality, and delivery
• Supports the design of evidenced-based, client-centered and trauma-informed programming that is in alignment with IRC’s Outcomes to Evidence framework
• Ensures that program impact can be represented through quality data
• Develops and manages program budgets
Staff Supervision
• Supervises staff at various program and project levels
• Identifies gaps in services and works to address these through internal and external capacity building
• Provides supervision and debriefing with staff during critical incidents
Business Development & Community Engagement
• Supports all aspects of business development including but not limited to identifying opportunities, supporting and at times leading grant submissions, identifying, nurturing, and maintaining partnerships.
• Analyzes trends and elevates opportunities, gaps, concerns to leadership
• Represents IRC locally; sits in working groups; coalitions
• Develops and maintains portfolio of community providers for referral to specialized safety, wellness, and health services
Key Working Relationships:
Position Reports to: Sr. Program Manager
Position directly supervises: Survivor Services Supervisors in Phoenix & Tucson, Program Coordinators, and others as appropriate.
Position indirectly supervises: N/A
Indirect Reporting: N/A
Other Internal and/or external contacts:
Internal: IRC staff, interns and volunteers
External: Community partners, stakeholder partners, DES, law enforcement, medical providers
Job Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in social work or equivalent work experience required.
• 2 years of program management and supervisory experience
• Proven skills in managing case management staff, grant reporting and program development.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills, bilingual ability preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Case management and/or workforce development experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work as a team member with collaborative partners, the community, and clients in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Computer literacy, data base experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and be a flexible team player.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, active insurance policy and access to reliable transportation.
• Must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card.
Working Environment:
• A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
• Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%.
• May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
