POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Project Coordinator
Salary Grade 18: $61,811 - $70,591
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidates to fill a full time position of Project Coordinator in the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), Bureau of Treatment Services to further develop and expand specialized services to support veterans, first responders, specialized populations and their families who are impacted by substance use and/or problem gambling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote the use of trauma informed care, best practices, effective treatment models and therapies to ensure ongoing clinical competence of OASAS credentialed individuals, licensed mental health professionals, and OASAS certified and funded programs.
- Assist with drafting Q&A documents, technical assistance webinars, and guidance materials and will attend meetings with state and local partners as needed.
- Coordinate with other bureaus and state agencies to support a thorough service structure for veterans, first responders, and other special populations.
- Support the implementation of a program designation for veterans and military involved individuals.
- Be able to travel up to 15%
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in human services and two years of professional clinical or professional administrative experience in a public or private agency or program that directly provides diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, or aftercare to a clientele with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorders.
- A Master's degree in human service may substitute for one year of professional clinical or professional administrative experience described in the first bullet; OR
- A Ph.D. in human services with professional clinical or professional administrative experience described in the first bullet.
- A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference to a candidate who has lived military and/or emergency responder experience OR
- Two (2) years of experience providing direct services to veterans or emergency responders more than 50% of the time.
- Candidate is a CASAC or licensed mental health professional.
