IT Director Consultant - Part-time to Full-time Temporary (may develop to full-time permanent employee)
Must live in either the Indianapolis or Cincinnati Metropolitan Areas, with travel between the two office locations as needed.
One of our clients in the Indianapolis area is seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven IT Consultant to help us assess our current IT infrastructure, with a focus on assessing the capabilities of current staff, identify improvement opportunities, and implement innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency for the current business and, importantly, support growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and provide strategic IT recommendations.
- Evaluate existing IT systems and identify areas for improvement, with a focus on staffing.
- Recommend customized IT solutions to enhance system efficiency.
- Leverage knowledge on technology best practices, security protocols, and system upgrades.
- Review project planning, risk assessment, and change management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand technology needs.
- Assess IT systems performance and recommend solutions for issues as needed.
- Provide insight from current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Consultant, Executive or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and system security.
- Proficiency with databases, cloud services, and enterprise IT systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results on time.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, ITIL) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems.
- Understanding of business process mapping and documentation.
- Ability to develop technical documentation and user guides.
