We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated QMAP / Caregiver with exceptional customer service skills and a heart to serve seniors to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents at The Residence at Skyway Park.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medication administration, resident rights, and the unique needs of individuals with dementia. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs to track residents' health status.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care activities.
- Participate in training sessions related to dementia care and other relevant topics.
Requirements
- Certification as a QMAP (received after July 1, 2017).
- Previous experience in an assisted living is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of resident rights and ethical caregiving practices.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members.
- Colorado Food Handler's Certification
- A commitment to ongoing education in social work, dementia care, or related fields is highly valued.
