Job Summary:
Residence Inn by Marriott is looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Breakfast Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will create a welcoming atmosphere for guests during our complimentary breakfast service. This position involves ensuring the breakfast area is clean, organized, and well-stocked, providing a high standard of service to guests each morning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain the breakfast area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper presentation of food.
- Prepare and replenish breakfast items, including hot and cold food, beverages, and condiments.
- Greet guests with a positive attitude and assist with any special requests to ensure a pleasant breakfast experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, reporting shortages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, and all surfaces in the breakfast area throughout the shift.
- Close down the breakfast service, clean up the area, and restock for the next day.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all food items meet Marriott’s standards for quality, freshness, and safety.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
- Ability to work early morning hours and rotating shifts (5:00 AM - 10:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to work with a diverse team and guest population.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
