Job Purpose
The Beautiful Springhill Suites by Marriott Charleston Riverview is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor. The purpose of the Night Auditor is to audit all accounts to ensure they are in balance, and prepare final reports for management; acts as the third shift Front Desk Agent ensuring maximum room revenues and guest satisfaction, in line with AURO Hotels’ standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform night audit procedures accurately, including the verification and balancing of all guest and departmental accounts.
- Post and reconcile room charges, taxes, and other fees for each guest stay.
- Verify the accuracy of guest folios and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports, including but not limited to revenue summaries, occupancy reports, and guest account statements.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures during the night shift.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist in the check-in and check-out process for late-night arrivals and early-morning departures.
- Coordinate with other departments to handle guest requests and room assignments.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests by monitoring the hotel premises during the night hours.
- Perform end-of-shift duties, such as closing the day's transactions, preparing the next day's reports, and updating reservation systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or hospitality-related certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in front desk operations or night audit within the hotel industry is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using hotel property management systems and related software (e.g., Opera, Fosse, or similar).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills to accurately balance financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to provide exceptional guest service.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently during the night shift.
- Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
