Residential Elevators is actively seeking for a Engineering Manager to join our team and continue leading the industry.
The Engineering Manager position will be responsible for maintaining and improving existing designs as well as developing new products, features, and processes for the residential elevator market.
This position requires a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, a strong aptitude toward process and product improvement, an outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas in a nontechnical manner, actively listen to others, manage differing viewpoints so the final product remains true to the objective,
Essential Functions
Develop new products and improvements to existing products.
Utilize and maintain 2D & 3D CAD packages (SolidWorks) to create a complete technical Data Package (TDP), Bill of Materials (BOM), and associated Manufacturing.
Drawings to support field operations & production.
Analyze structural integrity of existing systems, as well as proposed changes to components within the system.
Participates in the evaluation and troubleshooting of product performance issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and improve engineering processes
Oversee the design and development of new products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record of successfully leading engineering projects from concept to completion.
Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Exposure to designing with metal fabrication processes such as sheet metal forming, diecasting, plastic injection molding and /or reaction injection molding (RIM) manufacturing methods.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of best practices of Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA) techniques.
Proficiency with prototyping fidelities and associated materials and processes to include mechanical schematics, engineering for CNC machining, 3D printing variations, and tolerancing.
Familiarity with various finishing operations (coatings, plating, etc.) and experience using basic machine shop tools (hand tools, basic power tools) to complete prototype / pilot run builds.
Proficiency in logic controllers and data collection systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
