Position Overview : Housing Stabilization Specialists assist individuals with disabilities to obtain stable and affordable housing. Common tasks are meeting with clients, assessing and overcoming barriers pertaining to housing, identifying and accessing community financial resources, and assisting clients in developing skills to maintain housing. This role reports to the Program Manager and has no direct reports. Role Responsibilities : Meet with clients in community settings and virtually. Visit and Tour potential properties. Communicate with external resources regarding funding and access. Identify and encourage client strengths regarding maintaining housing. Identify client weaknesses regarding maintaining housing, and help client develop skills to overcome. Any additional non-direct compensated time must be pre-approved by the supervisor.
