Position Overview:
Mental Health Workers, operating in an Integrated Community Supports (ICS) capacity, provide direct support professional services and independent living skills training to the individuals we serve in an apartment style setting. Our clients include those with a severe mental illness (SMI) health diagnosis and or traumatic brain injury (TBI) disability. This role reports to the Program Manager and has no direct reports.

Role Responsibilities:
- Support individuals in independent living skills through 1:1 service.
- Support individuals in mental health management through identifying coping skills, practicing coping skills, and alternative methods.
- Teach and model community integration skills such as: self-managing medications, managing personal finances, appropriate interpersonal interactions, managing the public transportation system, completing the necessary tasks to maintain a home, and accessing community resources.
- Interacts informally with individuals to facilitate socialization and appropriate behavior.
- Participates in scheduled and spontaneous recreational events.
- Teaches healthy living habits and develops the accompanying skills.
Required Qualification and Experience:
- A Passion for improving the lives of individuals we serve.
- Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
- Ability to pass the BCA Criminal Background Check and the Sexual Exploitation of Patients by Psychotherapist screen required by DHS.
- Ability to pass screening required by Federal Human Services office of the Inspector General
- Ability to organize and work independently.
- Willingness to travel within the Metro Area, for applicable mileage reimbursements, with a current driver’s license, clean record, and personal vehicle with insurance; and able to transport clients in that vehicle.
- Possess a person-centered approach, consistent with the Philosophical approach of the individual program and RTI.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
- Other, as needed, as company and role grows or evolves.

Compensation: $19 per hour
Type: Full-Time
Shifts: Sun-Thur, 1.00pm-9.30pm or 8.00am-4.30pm Tues-Sat 8.00am-4.30pm
