Summary
As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing / supporting execution, from start to finish, of a broad range of industrial manufacturing capital projects. You will develop various capital project documentation including scope documents, engineering calculations and designs, specifications, drawings, cost estimates, schedules, project justifications, technical reviews and training documents for our manufacturing facilities in North America. In addition, you will work within a cross-functional, global engineering team to achieve corporate, division, and departmental objectives in a collaborative environment. As the Senior Project Engineer, you will also provide direction and mentoring to lower-level engineers.
Ideally this Project Engineer would be located in Scottsboro, AL or Milan, OH but would consider someone based in our Littleton, CO Technical Center.
Your Day to Day :
- Develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, and investment grade cost estimates for multi-discipline industrial manufacturing capital projects worldwide with value up to $10M.
- Provide project management and oversight for all aspects and phases for multiple project assignments concurrently and driving projects to completion.
- Perform and / or review detailed engineering in one or more disciplines and coordinate JM comments and resolve design issues with engineering firms and contractors.
- Design and specify safe equipment and processes, ensure ergonomics are considered in all areas of design, and that potential safety and health hazards are identified and eliminated during project execution. Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are followed, driving a zero-incident project environment
- Design and specify environmentally compliant equipment and processes, ensure that all permit requirements are considered and addressed in the design, and that potential environmental issues are identified and addressed during project execution.
- Mentor lower-level engineers.
