We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our injection molding team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing molds, injection molding machines, and associated support equipment. The ideal candidate should have 2–5 years of hands-on experience in mold and injection molding equipment maintenance, as well as expertise in performing equipment calibrations, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform regular inspections, cleaning, and routine preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and molds.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct timely repairs and adjustments to ensure equipment remains in optimal condition.
- Calibrate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all calibration activities, including dates, findings, and corrective actions.
- Assist with mold setup, installation, and removal from machines.
- Inspect molds for wear and damage; coordinate refurbishments or repairs as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of molds to prevent damage and maintain their longevity.
- Perform preventive maintenance per procedures and ensure compliance
- Follow and enforce all company safety procedures and protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Comply with relevant regulatory guidelines, such as OSHA, in all aspects of maintenance and repair activities.
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to address equipment issues promptly.
- Communicate equipment status updates and repair timelines to management and team leads.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in maintenance operations.
- Participate in training and stay updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in injection molding maintenance, mold repair, or a similar role.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; a technical certification or associate degree in an industrial or mechanical field is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of injection molding machinery, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and machinery manuals.
- Experience with calibration techniques, measuring instruments, and documentation.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and work in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication. Must be a team player with a proactive and safety-focused mindset.
