Injection Molding Machine Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Machine Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and technical abilities to maintain, troubleshoot, and operate our Boy injection molding machines. This role focuses primarily on mechanical maintenance and technical problem-solving, with opportunities to operate the machines as needed. We're looking for someone with strong diagnostic skills and mechanical aptitude who can ensure optimal machine performance while maintaining high-quality production standards.

Location & Requirements

• Position located at our facility in City of Industry, CA
• Must be a current resident of Los Angeles or Orange County area
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• No relocation assistance provided
• Local candidates only

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time position: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Competitive pay based on experience and skill level
• On-site work required

Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical troubleshooting on Boy injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Set up and adjust injection molding machines, including material changes, mold changes, and process parameter optimization.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards through regular equipment inspections and adjustments.
• Operate injection molding machines when needed, ensuring consistent product quality.
• Conduct precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other quality control tools.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance data.
• Train and support operators on proper machine operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an injection molding technician or maintenance mechanic, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing injection molding equipment.
• Experience with Boy injection molding machines is highly desired.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and electrical controls.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and documentation.
• Proficient in using precision measurement tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of plastic materials and processing parameters.
• Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during mechanical failures.
• Experience training or mentoring others is a plus.
• Background in lean manufacturing principles is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
