Salary : $25,000 - $27,000 per year (Base Salary Performance-Based Incentives)

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Community Engagement & Outreach Specialist to lead the expansion of our behavioral health services into new communities. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with strong sales and marketing skills who is passionate about building relationships, generating client leads, and setting up new programs. The primary focus is to establish our presence in underserved areas by recruiting clients, hiring staff, and developing partnerships with community organizations that can refer clients to our behavioral health agency services.

This position offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to make a significant impact while driving the growth of our services. The role includes door-to-door outreach, organizing community events, and making connections with local partners to ensure that our behavioral health services reach those who need them most.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Expanding Services in New Areas

  • Lead efforts to set up behavioral health services in new locations by recruiting clients, securing staff, and building the necessary infrastructure.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify and hire mental health professionals and administrative staff to support new program locations.
  • Ensure that new programs are aligned with community needs and fully operational, providing seamless access to care.

2. Door-to-Door & Community Engagement

  • Conduct door-to-door outreach in underserved communities to educate individuals about Medicaid benefits and the mental health services we provide.
  • Host and participate in community events to promote our services and generate client leads.
  • Serve as the face of the organization at local meetings, programs, and public events to build trust and connect with potential clients.
  • 3. Partnership Development & Client Acquisition

  • Establish and maintain relationships with local community organizations, healthcare providers, and leaders to create referral networks for new clients.
  • Collaborate with local partners to host joint events and programs, expanding awareness and increasing client referrals.
  • Develop strong referral partnerships with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and other community stakeholders to ensure a steady flow of new clients.
  • 4. Sales & Marketing

  • Utilize strong sales and marketing skills to promote our services, driving client acquisition and expanding our reach in new markets.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that build brand awareness and attract new clients.
  • Use community outreach activities to grow our brand and ensure that potential clients understand the value of our services.
  • 5. Quotas & Performance Metrics

  • Meet monthly quotas for client acquisition and community engagement, ensuring the continued growth of our services.
  • Quota : Minimum of 50 new client leads or community partnerships generated monthly through door-to-door outreach, events, and partner relationships.
  • Regularly track and report on outreach activities, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
  • 6. Compliance with Legal Standards

  • Ensure that all outreach activities are in full compliance with Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and other federal regulations.
  • Focus on educational outreach and relationship-building, avoiding any actions that could be interpreted as improper financial inducements.
  • Compensation Structure :

  • Base Salary : $25,000 - $27,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Performance-Based Incentives :
  • Quarterly bonuses for meeting or exceeding client acquisition and outreach quotas.
  • Bonuses tied to achieving milestones such as :
  • Number of new clients or staff recruited.
  • Number of successful partnerships developed with community organizations.
  • Example : A quarterly bonus of $1,000 for achieving client acquisition and staff recruitment targets in a new service area.
  • No Commission-Based Pay : Compensation is not linked to the number of clients enrolled in Medicaid services to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Experience Requirements :

  • 1 years of experience in community outreach, sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Strong ability to build partnerships and generate client referrals.
  • Experience in setting up new programs or services, particularly in healthcare or behavioral health, is preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet outreach quotas and grow services in new communities.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Work Environment :

    This position involves significant travel to various regions to engage directly with clients, staff, and community organizations. The ideal candidate will thrive in an independent, flexible work environment, focusing on growing the organization’s presence in new areas.
