Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage room authorizations and restrictions
- Implement revenue management strategies to maximize revenue through occupancy, ADR and REVPAR
- Daily pickup analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting
- Identify new revenue opportunities
- Attend meetings to plan, organize, coordinate and manage activities and solutions
- Daily room revenue management strategy review
- Monitor competitors rate positioning
- Qualify requests for proposals, develop rate strategies and prepare quotes
- Support sales department with group contracts, terms & conditions and rates
- Manage SRP production, channel productions and segment production
- Support property operations with revenue management strategies that contribute to operational success
- Prepare reports and commentary weekly/monthly on property performance
- Review and analyze weekly & monthly STR reporting
- Create monthly forecasts by property
- Stay up to date with Brand initiatives, directives and standards
- Regularly check input of data quality in the PMS
- Ensure web site booking process is maintained and up-to-date
- Monitor markets for special events and conventions
- Challenge and influence hotel to improve service level and operations standards
- Occasional travel to properties to research markets, competition and sales opportunities.
- Develop good working relationships with the property leadership and brand support services.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferred candidates will have the following or equivalent:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hotel Management
- 2-4 years of hotel operations leadership
- 2-4 years of hotel sales and catering
- 2-4 years of hospitality experience
- STR training and certificate
- Highly computer literate with a high-level command of Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledgeable of hotel technology, PMS, third party extranets, GDS, CRS and revenue management software
