A behavioral health clinic located in Baltimore is seeking to hire a Licensed Substance Use Disorders Counselor (SUD Counselor), with licensure as CSC-AD, or CAC-AD with experience. We have multiple openings for a counselor/therapist. An ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills that maintain a strong team environment and actively support their team in providing clients the best quality treatment.
Responsibility includes:
- Provide alcohol and drug education in counseling sessions.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
- Conducts Initial SUD Assessments and completes concurrent ASAMs
- Responsible for discharging and/or transferring clients according to regulations
- Conduct intake, assessments, authorization, and being responsible for client confidentiality.
- Attend weekly supervision meetings.
- Maintain and document notes regarding treatment, urinalysis, and interventions.
- Must keep client's records up to date including transition planning.
- Responsible for ensuring that assigned client's caseloads are given random urinalysis according to State and Federal guidelines.
- Computer literacy required.
- Valid driver's license and a dependable transportation
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the established diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders
- Knowledge of methods of measuring treatment outcomes
- Skilled in tailoring helping strategies and treatment
- Skill in accurately documenting client-related information
- Ability to intervene and manage clients in crises
- Ability to learn the support systems and community resources
- Ability to make constructive therapeutic responses when the client’s behavior is inconsistent with stated recovery goals
Qualifications: Required to be certified by the State of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as an
- CAC-AD,
- CSC-AD or
- LG-ADC
- ADT

Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
