Profile Responsibilities
- Assist the Board and senior management to establish, embed and communicate operational risk management objectives & direction.
- Oversee the daily execution and management of all operational (non-financial) risk framework elements.
- Provide clear, concise and value-added risk reporting to all key stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of operational risk management processes, tools (including the GRC system), analytics and other methods for identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting of all operational risks.
- Oversee the implementation of a framework of operational risk appetite and limits, consistent with the Company’s Risk Appetite Framework and Risk Policies.
- Develop & deliver a program of controls testing empowering informed decision-making and ensuring robust controls within 1LOD
- Lead the investigation and analysis of operational risk incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Develop and implement incident reporting processes and maintain an incident database.
- Maintain effective alignment between Risk Management, other 2nd line functions (e.g. Compliance) and the 3rd line Internal Audit function
- Lead and empower a talented Operational Risk team, serving as the 2nd Line of Defense.
- Responsible for maintaining the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) process, monitoring issue management & Business Continuity
- Quarterly ORM reporting to Management Risk Committees and Boards aligned to annual the Risk Management Plan deliverables (e.g. operational risk assessments; risk appetites; emerging risks and incident reporting etc.)
- Provide training and support Company-wide on managing operational risk
- Provides thought leadership and insights that help to shape the strategic value and contribution of Operational l Risk capabilities, providing innovative ideas while balancing regulatory requirements
- Provide operational risk review and opinions on large transactions (e.g. finance, technology, HR, ESG)
- Act as a member of the Risk Leadership Team, contributing to policies, standards, frameworks and thought leadership required for ongoing Risk optimization.
