Overview: We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating and repairing precision tools and dies used in the manufacturing process. This is a vital role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. Duties: - Design, build, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures - Operate various machines and tools to shape, cut, and finish parts - Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop new tooling solutions - Program and operate computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software - Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy - Inspect finished products for quality assurance - Troubleshoot issues with tooling or equipment - Maintain documentation of tooling specifications and changes Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role - Proficiency in programming and operating CAM software - Strong knowledge of hand tools, measuring instruments, and machinery used in toolmaking - Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software - Mechanical knowledge of stamping presses and other manufacturing equipment - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings - Excellent mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations Benefits: We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
