Pain Clinic Associates is seeking a Lab Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely results while fostering strong relationships with patients and staff.
As the Lab Manager, you’ll be responsible for executing daily tasks that enhance the clinic’s efficiency, while exemplifying our mission in both job performance and interactions with coworkers. You’ll also oversee laboratory testing and maintain crucial relationships between staff and patients. Additionally, you will be equipped to step in and support front office and PT Tech functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track all tests and labs ordered by our directors and maintain detailed records.
- Oversee and manage lab staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Ensure lab equipment, including EIA and LCMS machines, operates efficiently.
- Communicate laboratory needs, status updates, and results to management and other departments.
- Maintain and update lab notification database and assist with new projects.
- Continuously work to improve operational efficiency and problem-solve any challenges that arise.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science. At least 4 years of experience in high complexity testing, specifically toxicology. You must meet qualifications for both General Supervisor and Technical Supervisor based on CLIA regulations.

- Competence in laboratory management and toxicology testing.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to laboratory operations.
- Ability to train, oversee, and manage laboratory staff.
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in urgent situations.
- Physical Requirements: Moderate physical effort required. Ability to safely work in a laboratory environment.
- Environmental Conditions: Work in a typical office and laboratory setting under normal conditions. Must be able to perform under pressure.
