POSITION SUMMARY :
Cost Accountant : This position will be responsible for analyzing the cost of production in a highly regulatory medical manufacturing environment as well as ensuring profitability, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance with healthcare manufacturing standards. This position is critical in helping Resolve Surgical Technologies maximize the number of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct monthly financial close activities, including inventory valuation, Excess & Obsolete reserve, standard cost variance analysis, operations productivity, account reconciliations and other reporting as necessary. Prepare reports and summaries as required for inclusion of financial reporting
- Prepare standard adjusting journal entries related to operational cost accounting
- Review PPV reports and research purchases to ensure accurate PPV reporting
- Establish labor and overhead rates
- Support external audits and tax preparation functions
- Conduct WIP audits
- Contribute pertinent cost analysis associate with the annual budgeting process
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for new and / or existing products on request
- Partner with operational management to improve controls, accuracy and quality of manufacturing costs and resolve extraordinary variances
- Record fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and other asset adjustments in the accounting system, ensuring timely and accurate asset tracking and capitalization.
- Works with finance staff to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Works with various functional departments to develop and maintain the product costing system.
