Resolve Surgical Technologies is hiring an intern to support our Lean initiatives in our Manufacturing facility. This is a year-round internship, located on-site in Marquette, MI. Qualified candidates must be pursing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technologies. This internship will end no longer than 3-months post graduation. Part-time hours during the school year, Full-time hours (up to 40 / week) available during the summer.
Position Summary :
This internship is responsible for executing assigned engineering tasks including compliance, driving lean initiatives and achieving set metric. The intern will be a self-starter, have a hands-on approach in performing their work duties, and be able to work independently. This position will help Resolve Surgical Technologies maximize the amount of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
Responsibilities :
- Perform time studies to analyze operational processes
- Assist teams in the development of Value Stream Maps to understand the flow of materials, information, and operations
- Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout in order to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, process, and / or production teams to meet quality, productivity, and cost objectives
- Other duties as assigned
