Resort Management Group (RMG) provides services to 40 Homeowners Associations (HOAs) by delivering superior property management, maintenance, housekeeping, capital project management and accounting services. RMG was founded in 1998 and has continued to be the leader in full-service HOA property management services in Grand County.
RMG is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting team of four who will report directly to the CFO. The successful candidate will oversee the finance and accounting functions for multiple HOAs. This position will be the first point of contact for accounting issues and will work in conjunction with the accounting team to produce accurate and timely financial statements.
This position will work from our corporate offices in Granby CO.
Position Summary
Establishes, coordinates and administers all finance and accounting functions for the HOAs managed by RMG. Prepares and reviews budgets, forecasts, operating results, and financial reports in compliance with government regulations, and company requirements. Must ensure all account reconciliations are completed timely and accurately. Will also be responsible for intercompany relationships within 3 timeshare associations which also have rental activity, and 2 HOAs.
Two systems are currently in use to accomplish the goals of the company and its clientele - Appfolio and Resort Data Processing (RDP). Appfolio is used to collect assessments, process AP, and prepare all month end financial statements. RDP is used to manage the ownership, reservations, and rentals of the timeshare association.

- Prepares monthly financials for multiple properties
- Maintains budget integrity
- Reconciles bank statements
- Prepares and understands monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintains support for all entries and financial activity
- Understands and allocates prepaid expenses
- Manages monthly accruals in relation to actual expense/invoice timing
- Analyzes & answers questions related to income statement and balance sheet activity
- Supports timely month end financial close, including but not limited to journal entries, accruals and overall accuracy of all operational accounts
- Works with AP & AR teammates to ensure deadlines are met
- Compliance with other tasks/duties, as assigned
- Preferential consideration for experience with Appfolio
- Extensive Microsoft Office knowledge and proficiency is a must
- Able to work independently and in team environments
- Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone, in person and on video
