Position Overview
The Regional Sales Director’s primary function is to guide the regional sales team to the attainment of its sales quotas and to assist team members with reaching their personal and professional goals. The secondary function is to achieve sales growth and net hearing instrument sales while building, growing and maintaining customer relationships within the Government Services channel.

Total annual compensation for this position includes a competitive base pay, along with performance-based commissions that reward you for your contributions to the company’s success. Depending on your work location, the annual base pay for this position may range from $130,000 to $140,000 and the total annual compensation, including at-plan commissions, may be around $235,000 with the potential to earn more. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Position Overview

- Define clearly the role and expectations of the Territory Sales Managers in line with the overall company plan and strategy
- Prepare an annual business plan. Review and update plan quarterly with VP. Plan should include: a) sales growth that coincides with corporate goals; and b) customer based activity plans (i.e. office visits, regional and national customer attendees, etc.).
- Manage performance of Government Services outside sales team.
- Establish channels of communication so that representatives are informed of company initiatives, as well as informing the management team of all pertinent sales information
- Assist sales team in identifying and developing the business within the available clinics in their territories
- Work with major accounts to help maintain and grow their business
- Establish procedures in support of Government Services sales process
- Assess current skill levels to design tools to allow sales representatives to reach their goals
- Teach and develop sales skill sets to assist representatives in reaching maximum potential
- Hire high impact sales professionals and work with the Director of Sales Training to develop a specific training plan for each new-hire.
- Work with the Director of Sales Training to ensure territory sales managers have the necessary sales and training tools to effectively partner with the clinics within their territories.
- Assist senior management in identifying and developing future management candidates.
- Monitor and effectively manage department expenditures related to travel.
- Collaborate with Director of Sales Training to develop IOT curriculum
- Achieve net hearing instrument sales quota on both a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Work effectively with Inside Sales Director on prospecting and customer funnel progression
- Successfully introduce and establish new products to both existing customers and new customers.
- Complete appropriate sales and corporate reporting requirements in a timely manner
- Maintain proper professional standards of behavior and decorum as a representative of the company when communicating with customers, coworkers and representing GN Resound at national, regional and state professional meetings
- Perform other duties as requested and / or as needed to fulfill the purpose of the position
- Excellent computer skills.
- A thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel.

- Effective communication and platform presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and consistent follow-through.
- Detail oriented.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Education: MBA preferred but not required.
Experience
- VA experience preferred
- A minimum of 5 years successful territory sales experience, preferable medical devices
- A minimum of 2 years of sales management experience
