What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Installer (MUST live in Honolulu HI, Hybrid) position at Resource 1 LLC?
My client, who is in Honolulu, HI, is looking for an Installer Technician (Unlicensed/Licensed). This is a hybrid role.
Responsibility:
- Plan and configure communication infrastructure installations
- Install CAT6 and fiber optic cabling system
- Install data, wireless, and video products
- Test and document to ensure quality of service
- Analyze and resolve communication issues in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in cable installation (Copper and Fiber of different size and type)
- Knowledge and experience in installation of cable Infrastructure, J Hooks, Cable Trays and other pathways
- Knowledge and experience in termination and testing Cat 6, and 6a Copper Cabling (RJ45 Jacks and Patch Panels)
- Knowledge and experience in termination and testing Multi-mode and Single-mode Fiber Optic Cabling (htmelt, Unicam, Fusion splicing, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in following applicable OSHA safety procedures and ability to work in confined spaces
- Knowledge of electrical codes, fire codes, building codes and procedures
- BICSI installation certification is desirable
Work Conditions:
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines
- Participate in training sessions, presentations, meetings
- Ability to lift heavy to moderate equipment and tools
- Not afraid of heights and ability to climb ladders
