Job Purpose
Water is one of Colorado’s most precious resources, and conserving it is essential for the state’s long-term resilience. Resource Central’s Lawn Replacement program partners with over 30 Colorado municipalities and water providers to put water conservation into action through waterwise landscaping. As the Water Program Manager, you'll spearhead the popular Lawn Replacement Program, which allows residents to replace thirsty traditional lawns with beautiful, low-maintenance, waterwise plants that support pollinators, reduce water use, and drive significant water conservation across Colorado communities. You'll lead daily program operations, optimize efficiency, and empower a dynamic team to deliver exceptional results. Your expertise in program management, operations optimization, and team leadership will be vital as you cultivate a positive environment and ensure the program's success. This hybrid-remote position offers excellent flexibility, with regular in-person engagement essential for effective team collaboration and program delivery. Principal Responsibilities

- Lead Conservation Program Success: Achieve and exceed impact and financial goals, ensuring conservation program sustainability and growth.
- Empower and Develop Staff: Supervise, mentor, and lead staff to maximize team performance and individual growth.
- Crew Management: Manage seasonal crews, provide staff oversight, and ensure a safe working environment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
- Optimize Operational Excellence: Support individuals handling customer service, scheduling, and operations duties to ensure efficient and effective daily operations.
- Hands-On Team Support: Willingness to engage in field work and provide direct support to team as needed.
- Budget Management: Manage program budget and resources to ensure fiscal responsibility and program efficiency.
- Data-Driven Performance Tracking: Track and analyze program metrics, providing proactive communication and ensuring objectives are met.
- Streamline Program Processes: Optimize program systems and processes, including software tools, through analysis and collaboration, to streamline operations and drive scalable growth.
- Innovate Program Strategies: Leverage field experience, participant feedback, and data analysis to continuously improve program effectiveness.
- Support Conservation Efforts: Play a key role in Resource Central’s water conservation programs through project contributions and teamwork.
- Contribute to a strong sense of belonging where everyone can feel welcomed and included.
- Program Management: Proven experience planning, coordinating, and delivering impactful programs.
- Team Leadership & Empowerment: Proven ability to lead and motivate staff, fostering a solutions-oriented culture.
- Operations Experience: Experience in operations, fieldwork, sustainability or water conservation.
- Commitment to Conservation: Demonstrated interest in sustainable water management, efficient landscaping, or conservation practices.
- Data and Reporting: Experience in analyzing data and reporting on program impact.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and implement effective solutions to challenges.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills with experience in public speaking, training, and community outreach and fostering clear, collaborative communication.
- Tech Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Monday.com (or other CRM) preferred.
- Efficient Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide clear direction.
- At least 3 years in program management, water conservation, landscape planning, or a related field.
- Experience leading a team and providing staff oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (one year of professional-level experience may substitute for one year of required education).
- In-field experience with irrigation systems, waterwise landscaping, and general landscape management strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage projects with measurable environmental or conservation outcomes.
- Must pass a background check, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle required for occasional travel to other Front Range cities.
