What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Geologist position at Resource Environmental Solutions LLC?
Overview
RES is currently accepting applications for a Senior Geologist. This position will be based out of our Florida region.
The mission: to be a leader in contamination assessment, remediation and brownfields consulting in Florida. We are looking for someone with a knowledge of applicable regulations, the ability to assess a client’s needs and develop effective and creative solutions for a diverse suite of public and private sector clients.
What your day-to-day might look like?
You will be responsible for all aspects of implementation of Contamination and Brownfields projects. This will include assuming responsibility for existing projects and taking on new ones. As a RES contamination professional you will be asked to be technical lead and direct the work being conducted by junior staff, coordinate with regulatory agencies and clients and meet project goals and objectives.
Qualifications
We would love to talk to you if you have the following qualifications:
- Professional Geologist (P.G.) or the ability to obtain within one year of employment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in geology, environmental science, applied sciences, engineering, or similar field.
- 10 years of progressive experience in contamination assessment, remediation and/or Brownfields projects.
- Intimate knowledge and experienced application of Chapter 62-780
- 5 years of Project Management Experience.
What will make you stand out?
- Brownfield Programmatic experience
- Knowledge of hydrogeology, marine projects, ecology, NEPA documentation, permitting and/or FDOT PD&E studies
- Advanced Degree or additional qualifications such as certifications (PMP)
- Experience with Miami-Dade County policies
