We are currently recruiting for a Feeder Operator to join our team! The Feeder Operator will assist the pressman by operating the feeder consistently, keeping the press running, keeping inks and water full during operation, assisting in maintenance, and training on the press to operator if needed.
Scheduled: 2nd shift, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Responsibilities
- Understands ISO and complies with written procedures
- Follows daily schedule for workload. Communicates problems or concerns in a timely manner and assists in resolution. Checks cutting slip to verify count of stock is accurate prior to running. if there is a discrepancy, communicate with Supervisor.
- Make-ready times and materials used are minimized through proper planning of work.
- Maintains knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment; becomes familiar with safety data sheets (SDS) regarding chemicals used. Wear proper PPE when using or mixing chemicals. Properly handles and disposes of hazardous chemicals.
- Maintain a high level of print quality to eliminate inspection delays and reruns.
- Perform preventive maintenance on press such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and minor adjustments.
- Assists in other departments if needed and when work load permits
- Is responsible to keep immediate work area neat and orderly.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is beneficial.
- Must work well with others.
- Experience in Printing Operations is a plus.
- Able to communicate in English clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, stand for 8-10 hours, reach/bend, push/pull, and perform continuous repetitive movements.
