Overview
We are hiring a Production Manager for our Sandy, UT facility (LithoFlexo Grafics).
SUMMARY:
Conducts the “production orchestra”. Maximizes employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Transforms operations to systematically and consistently deliver world class quality at industry leading lead times and industry leading pricing and profitability. Self-motivated, results-driven, delivery and improvement engine.
Responsibilities

- Extensively utilizes lean, six sigma, 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, and statistical analysis
- Relentlessly finds, attacks, eliminates, and minimizes all forms of waste and variation, to produce and continuously improve lean, streamlined, consistent operations
- Aggressively drives a prevention mindset to build quality into processes, products, and services
- Drives to minimize, and continuously improve, total order-to-ship times
- Is “cool under fire”, focuses teams and team members on a logical, data-driven approach to problem solving and problem prevention
- Actively solicits feedback from, and communicates changes to, all stakeholders
- Ensures root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions are driven to completion
- Ensures comprehensive training and certification of production teams on processes, procedures, and equipment to ensure safe and flawless execution
- Reviews, probes, questions, and improves time studies, estimates, quotes, and standards
- Investigates and resolves variances between standards and actuals
- Leads cross-functional teams
- Develops and understands production capacity, labor requirements, schedule, and timing for completion of orders to meet (or beat) customer request dates. Investigates, corrects, and prevents, any deviations.
- Thoroughly cross-trains those you lead
- Cross-trains with other departments to learn and support their areas
- Backs up and supports other departments
- Develops, refines, and tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and takes action to exceed goals
- Ensures all employees know the KPIs, the goals, and how they are doing achieving those goals
- Ensures information is shared well across all shifts, all areas, and all departments

Solid understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO standards
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 4-year degree in engineering, hard science, operations, or 8 years of practical experience and demonstrated mastery of one or more of those disciplines, in manufacturing operation(s).
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, requirements, design documents, ergonomic best practices, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to build, populate, and interpret reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with groups of employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Hard core. No puzzle is unsolvable; every problem has a solution. Able to juggle and mathematically sort through and prioritize, orders, demands, shipments, tasks, projects, etc
