**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to support one of our government customers at NSWC Crane.
The selected candidate will work as part of an integrated team to implement database hardening and supporting system accreditation activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in application and database troubleshooting, code review, database design/development, performance optimization, and process improvement technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and execute scheduled jobs, data extracts, data refreshes, data loads, and data replication
- Manage Application and User Accounts
- Devise implementation plans for tasking
- Test backup strategies and implement database recovery techniques when required
- Document database actions
- Data recovery and space requirements/capacity planning for physical databases and installing client/server software and patches
- Troubleshooting database issues and optimize performance experience
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot database replication (transactional and snapshot)
Required Skills
- Experience with Database Servers and Server Migrations
- Implementing data security and hardening (groups, roles, privileges, authentication, TDE, and auditing)
- Familiarity with Database Server Integration Services, Policy Management
- Familiarity with Monitoring and Performance Dashboards
