Candidates must have a current NC RN licensure, a bachelor's degree - BSN preferred, BLS, and a minimum of 5 years RN experience.
Our client, a premier healthcare system, is actively seeking a Director for the Post-Surgical and Neuroscience Units. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director ensures delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care. This role is responsible for the clinical competency of the staff and effective resource management within the units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee 24/7 operations, including the development and implementation of strategic goals, policies, and procedures that comply with medical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and develop nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and providing continuous professional growth opportunities.
- Ensure operational and financial efficiency, optimize patient care processes, and
enhance patient experience.
- Maintain and promote high standards of patient safety and compliance across all areas
of responsibility.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred); Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of RN experience with a minimum of 2 years in a management role.
- Proficient in hospital operations with excellent leadership, communication, and
interpersonal skills.
- Certifications required: BLS, with ACLS preferred.
This position demands a visionary leader who can advocate for nursing best practices while providing direct patient care when necessary. The Director will also engage in continuous quality improvement, participate in audits, and represent the nursing units within professional and organizational committees.
