Resources for Independent Living (RIL) is an established community-based, consumer-directed organization serving people with disabilities throughout South Jersey. The organization continues to expand services and opening satellite offices to provide independent living support to individuals across the region.
Resources for Independent Living recently added services to incorporate outpatient mental health services. We are seeking per-diem mental health clinicians willing to grow with the practice.
We seek to utilize a multi-disciplinary, innovative approach where the emphasis is placed on the individual, their goals by including periodic case review and continuity of care for all persons served. The program provides treatment and support to adults, children, and adolescents experiencing mental illness, behavioral, emotional or social problems. Program components include: evaluation; treatment planning; individual and group counseling; couples and family counseling; skills training; advocacy services; case management; and medication management.

Job Duties of Clinicians:
The Mental Health Clinician I is a Master’s or Doctoral level individual with a degree from an accredited program in the healing arts (MSW, M.Ed, MS, DSW, Psy.D). The clinician will maintain their independent licensure by the State of New Jersey and be in good standing. This includes: LCSWs and LPCs.
The Mental Health Clinician II is a Master’s Degree in Social Work from an educational program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or in candidacy for accreditation by the CSWE. Completion of the master's level examination administered by the Association of Social Work Boards. A MH Clinician II will possess the first level of licensing by the State of New Jersey and be in good standing (LSW or LAC). These clinicians are required to meet weekly with an independently licensed supervisor within Resources for Independent Living.
The clinician is directly affiliated with the outpatient mental health program, provides clinical input into the development of the program, and maintains a caseload of clients by providing therapeutic supports by individual and group counseling.
- Meet with the clients regularly as treatment plan indicates
- Participate in, review, approve, supervise and provide input into the treatment and plans provided to each client
- Participate in trainings and meetings and be available and provide in-service training to staff based on specialties
- Complete applicable paperwork to keep cases active on the electronic medical record
- Assume professional responsibility for the treatment and services provided and assure that the treatment and services are clinically appropriate

Qualifications
- Treatment Planning, Mental Health, and Family Therapy skills
- Experience in Social Work and Case Management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and families
- Knowledge of community mental health resources
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Active and Valid NJ Licenses (LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LMFT)
