Summary of Position:
The Intern, Human Resources supports the Human Resources team with a variety of projects, gaining a wide range of experience and skills. This position is located in Washington DC.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources intern to join our Washington, DC, HR team this Summer for up to 35 hours per week, starting in May or June 2025 and continuing through the summer. The HR intern will provide support for our HR team by continuing an organization wide personnel file mapping and data organization project and other HR support duties as needed. The intern will also have the opportunity to train with and shadow each member of the HR staff and learn human resources policy and best practices from industry professionals. This position pays $17.50 - $22 per hour.
This position will be in person, based out of our Washington, DC office only

- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a current undergraduate program
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
- Background and/or interest in human resources, business administration, talent acquisition, finance & accounting, economics, environmental policy, energy policy, political science, or related topics
- Interest in working for a nonpartisan, nonadvocacy policy organization
- Experience with customer service or working with people
- Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in the following software programs is necessary for this role:
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Internet Browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer)
