What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Project Engineer position at ResourceTek, LLC?
In support of our client, a global automotive OEM, we are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Project Engineer – MEP to support facility expansion projects and ongoing facilities modifications. This program-based assignment will be located at our client's facility in Smyrna, Tennessee and will work directly with our client's Facility Engineering and Project Management team and vendors to provide leadership and administration for various projects. The individual we seek will have an Associate’s of Science degree in Mechanical Design or Engineering or equivalent with experience in mechanical electrical piping / plumbing design and construction of industrial facilities. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects from design through installation are essential.
JOB DETAILS
- Prepares drawings in accordance with standard technical specifications and assists in design development of mechanical and electrical industrial facilities systems, that range from moderate to complex in nature.
- Must have thorough knowledge AutoCAD and file storage systems, as well as ability to edit manual drawings.
- Working effectively in the manufacturing environment collecting data, developing, and implementing design solutions, creating specifications, and requisitions for contracted services.
- Coordinating outside contracted support services and maintaining effective working relationships with Operations, Maintenance, and Safety personnel.
- Apply basic engineering principles in the area of discipline during the development of design solutions.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
