Respacare, a Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine practice located in Bridgewater, NJ is seeking an experienced medical biller and collections professional with positive work ethic, outstanding communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform routine billing tasks including charge entry, payment posting, refund preparation, appeals generation, insurance coverage verification, prior authorizations, reducing outstanding A/R and aging reports, patient statements, collection calls, initiation of claims adjustments and re-submission of claims to the insurance carrier, intermediary, facility or other responsible party. Candidate must also be able to assist patients in understanding their balances, and provide collection of patient balances in a courteous and professional manner. The ideal candidate will be continually responsive throughout the day to patient calls regarding their accounts, as well as questions from staff. Significant previous working experience as a medical biller is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates must have a positive attitude and be a detailed oriented person.
Qualifications include: At least 1-3 years’ experience in 3rd party medical billing / commercial carrier collections
