What You Will Do
As the Manager of Underwriting and Customer Service, you will oversee the performance of our Underwriting and Customer Service teams, ensuring efficient and effective operations. You’ll develop strategies, optimize processes, and foster a high-performing, data-driven, service-oriented work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring the team to achieve or exceed goals. Providing clear expectations, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Continuously improving workflows, procedures, and tools to enhance productivity and quality while reducing costs.
- Analyzing business issues and opportunities, identifying their financial and operational impact, and implementing effective solutions.
- Recruiting, training, and retaining top talent to strengthen team performance and maintain a positive culture.
- Managing team schedules, assignments, and work-life balance.
- Establishing and monitoring customer service standards while resolving quality concerns and recommending process improvements.
- Representing the company as the underwriting corporate representative in relevant engagements.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support ongoing business needs and objectives.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: Proven experience in operations management, team leadership, and driving operational excellence; insurance experience is a plus.
- Licensing: Current Florida 2-20 Resident General Lines license or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conflict resolution abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
- Availability: Flexibility to work after hours and weekends when required.
- Mindset: Adaptable, team-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
