RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Materials Manager in Newbern, TN!
Your Job
The Materials Manager will manage all aspects of material flow in our plant. Material Movement in the plant is a core function, setting the cadence for the entire plant. Coupled with our culture, this role will allow you to develop your own sense of fulfillment through contribution to the entire plant.
What you Will do in Your Role
- Provide leadership and direction to the safety of all employees and visitors to the facility
- Lead, coach and mentor a crew in meeting safety, quality and logistics goals
- Develop crew members for improving individual and organization performance
- Lead performance management and corrective action processes for assigned crew
- Use analytical and problem-solving skills to drive better results in the plant using the systems that operate the business (Funnel Cloud, MRP, Epicor,Kanban)
- Improve plant performance through process improvements and lean methodologies
- Partner with planning, 3rd party logistics, and customer service to optimize load requirements
- Work with upstream and downstream people and processes to meet customer expectations
- Lead, track and improve performance on key goals and objectives
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience leading a logistics, supply chain, materials, shipping or warehouse team in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with manufacturing material flow, planning, and inventory control
- Experience measuring and improving processes to meet organization goals
- Experience in leading and managing direct reports including coaching/mentoring, performance feedback, and incentives
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Experience implementing and managing Kanban systems
