What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Technician position at RESRG Automotive?
We are hiring a Process Technician for our RESRG Automotive facility in Covington, GA. With a global footprint across four continents and a commitment to sustainability, RESRG Automotive specializes in advanced exterior and interior systems, offering cutting-edge technologies to meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.
The schedule is for 2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 2PM to 11PM.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes
- Responsible for following all plant safety policies
- Responsible for following all plant ISO / TS 16949 & ISO-14001 policies and instructions
- Setting up hot runner controllers, valve gate units and injection press and auxiliary equipment
- Releasing good parts at start-up
- Troubleshooting and correcting all aspects of the process to make quality molded parts
- Support engineering on tool trials and scrap reduction
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Maintaining daily run sheets
- Reading and understanding documentation to install tools, hot runners and valve gate units
- Reading and understanding documentation to support engineering in support scrap reduction
What You Will Need?
- Experience using hand tools
- Experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Experience using a computer, tablet or smartphone
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Process Technician or similar role
- Experience with Injection Molding
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing this job the employee will be:
- Standing, Walking, Bending, Lifting, Laying, using Stairs/ladders to perform work, climbing
- Maximum lifting will be 50 pounds
- Work will be on concrete floors and at elevated levels if needed to perform work on mold presses
Work Environment
- The Process Technician will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes
- The facility is temperature controlled; the normal temperature is approximately 68F during the winter and 85F during the summer
- Daily work involves working with grease, oils and other manufacturing related chemicals
- Daily work involves being in and around elevated temperatures and heat sources of up to 800F
This is an hourly role and reports to the Process Supervisor.
