Operations Coordinator
Restart Inc, a 501 (c) (3) organization located in Minneapolis, MN was created in 1986 to focus on housing and services for individuals with brain injuries. Since then it has expanded to own seven community residential setting programs. Restart has earned a solid reputation as a provider of choice in this market and we are proud to serve those who reside in our homes. Restart has approximately 60 employees.

To support persons with brain injury and related disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence through programs and independent living support services.
Position Overview
Restart Inc. is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Operations Coordinator to support the oversight and continuity of operations across our seven site locations. This is a key support role designed for someone who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and learning. Reporting directly to the Director of Residential Services, the Operations Coordinator works closely with all Site Managers to ensure smooth transitions, consistent care, and operational excellence across all homes.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can identify areas for improvement and take initiative based on their knowledge and expertise. They will also take on special projects, contribute to staff development, and help operationalize strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational continuity by stepping into leadership roles at sites experiencing management turnover or staffing transitions.
- Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of each site’s operations, staffing model, resident needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Work on special projects assigned by the Director, including initiatives related to compliance, training, or process improvement.
- Proactively identify opportunities for operational improvement or efficiency and take initiative to research, plan, and implement solutions.
- Assist Site Managers and the Director withscheduling, training, appointment coordination, and administrative follow-through.
- Promote consistency in practices and expectations across sites by training new staff and supporting site-level teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, flexibility, and open communication within and between site teams.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure person-centered care, safety, and resident well-being are consistently prioritized.
- Participate in on-call rotations and attend leadership meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Services, with a strong preference for candidates with site-level leadership or coordination experience.
- Highly preferred: Associate’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently, identify areas needing attention, and develop solutions without needing direction at every turn.
- Demonstrated multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities—able to engage with a diverse team.
- Must be able to pass and maintain a clean criminal background check and meet medical requirements as outlined by Restart Inc., DHS, and MDH.
- Familiarity withMedical Assistance (MA), SSI, and disability-related benefits and community resources.
- Strong technological skills, especially in documentation and remote collaboration tools.
- Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance, with ability to travel between sites as needed.
- Ability to maintain composure, clarity, and leadership in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
