Job Summary

The Director of Culinary Operations leads the culinary program for a major, multi-site Compass client. As the Department Head, the role involves providing leadership and setting culinary excellence standards, menu development, costing QA oversight, inventory management and collaborating with division leadership.

This position is based in NYC and could require up to 25% travel.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide strong leadership as the Department Head, setting high standards of culinary excellence.
• Collaborate with division leadership to plan and implement new food concepts or programs.
• Develop and mentor senior chefs across various Company divisions and regions, fostering their growth and expertise.
• Create training opportunities for chefs and managers, utilizing external resources and promoting internal best practices.
• Stay updated on market trends and customer demands, ensuring the menus are relevant and appealing.
• Participate in trade shows and continuing education opportunities to stay informed about industry developments.
